TipSee is an all inclusive tip tracking app for anyone who gets tips daily or enough times throughout the year that you would like to keep a record. The app is user friendly and easy to learn. All tips for the month are displayed on a calendar page so you can see a summary whole month at a glance.

Upload your favorite photo from time to time as a background image to customize the app to your liking. If you need details, just select the summary view to look at daily, weekly, monthly or yearly totals. TipSee even shows you which day of the week have been your best days for tips.

You can configure TipSee to remind you to enter your Tips. What good is a tracking program if you forget to enter your tips because of your busy schedule. Just go to the Setting page and select “Reminder To Enter Your Tips”. After you turn it on, you can select the days of the week you want to be reminded. You can even tap on the “Reminder Time:” to choose the time of the day you want to be reminded. It is that simple.

TipSee was designed for quick and simple record keeping of your daily tips, but has many professional features only found on expensive apps, like auto backup, and exporting to excel or other financial packages. Forgot to enter a days tip? Not a problem, just pick the day on the calendar and enter the tip amount. TipSee allows you to keep notes for each tip entered; “Wow, that was the greatest tip I have gotten all year!”

Tip Tracking Feature Descriptions:

Summary page
There are 4 summary blocks that display the tips for the day, week, month and year-to date. If you tap on the title bar for each block, a pop up will appear. The popups for week will display the amount for each week. For the Month, the popup will display the amount next to each month. To view this information in the summary box, select any particular week, month or year from the table. The bottom of each of the summary blocks displays the total wages, total hours, and the average tips/hr under the Total for the period.

The right arrows on the title bars under the “by days of the weeks” when tapped will popup a selection menu to allow you to change the month or the year. If the year displayed is 2015 then the amounts for the Month displayed are for 2015, but if you change the year to 2014, then the amounts displayed are for 2014.

Changing the Month on Calendar page

There are 2 ways to change the Month displayed on the Calendar page:
1. Swipe right or left by starting at the Edge of the page and swiping to the right or left.
2. Tapping on the grey area at the beginning or at the end of the month.

Backup

TipSee saves your information automatically every time you open the app and keeps multiple copies. Also, it saves manually, where you can email the saved excel file to yourself.. We highly recommend you email yourself once a week in case your phone is lost, stolen, or fails. Backup files can be used to easily import into other devices or when you upgrading to another App version.

When TipSee performs a Manual backup, Tipsee will save a copy of your data in a folder:
search for folder: com.wcd.tipsee
For example, look for: storage/sdcard0/com.wcd.tipsee, or do a search on the file name.
file names will look like: manual20150326backup.xls
When you backup Automatically, Tipsee will save a copy of your data in a folder:
search for folder: com.wcd.tipsee
For example, look for: storage/sdcard0/com.wcd.tipsee/auto or do a search on the file name.
file names will look like: auto20150326backup.xls (for 3/26/15)
When you want to perform a Manual backup go to the Settings/Backup Data/import_Data/Export_Data/Backup_and_Export. If you want a copy of the backup file emailed to you, enter your email address in the text field and select “go”. An Excel file will be emailed as well as saved to the local folder. The last 5 manual backups will be saved locally.
Automatic backups will be saved locally, each time you use the app, but not more than one backup per day. The last 10 automatic backups will be saved locally.

Since backups are saved as excel files, you can manipulate the information in excel to analyze the information.
Start Of Work Week
The Calendar can be adjusted to begin on Sunday or Monday (the pro version supports any day of the week). This feature can be found under Setup. This can be changed at anytime.

Notification Reminder
Select “Reminder To Enter Your Tips” under Settings. Select ON and the days of the week you want to be reminded. Usually, you would select the day or the day after you work. Select Everyday to select all the days if you want to be reminded everyday. At the bottom of the page tap on “Reminder Time”. A popup will allow you to select an hour of the day to be reminded. If you select the TipSee icon when you get the reminder notification, the App will open to allow you to end your tip amounts.

Background Image
The background image can be changed for the Add Tips page and the Edit page. Under Settings select Change_Image/Job1. The Change Image button will open your galary. Choose an image to use as your TipSee background image.

Widget
To install the widget follow the procedure for your OS, eg select the ICON for choosing Apps to install and select the Widgets tab. Look for the TipSee Free widget (4×1) and drag it to the window of your choice. The widget displays tip totals for the week, month, and year. Double tapping on the Widget will open TipSee.
